The Federal Research Centre for Fisheries consists of four institutes. Three institutes are located in Hamburg:
Institute for Sea Fisheries (ISH)
Institute for Fishery Ecology (IFÖ)
Institute for Fishery Technology and Fishery Economy (IFF)
The Institute for Baltic Sea Fisheries (IOR) is located in Rostock.The Information and Documentation Service with Library, and the Administratin are located in Hamburg too. Two external laboratories are located in Ahrensburg (IFÖ) and Cuxhaven (IFÖ and ISH).
